Account Manager at Artech Information Systems
April 2009 - May 2011
I was initially hired into Artech because of my experience in handling the Microsoft account. I donned multiple hats in the organization including that of an Account Manager and Trainer.
As an Account Manager for Artech's India operations, I handled one vertical of IBM's domestic staffing business.
- Trained recruiters on the complete recruitment lifecycle and internal database.
- Handled all escalations from the client at my level.
- Worked with the delivery teams in Noida and Bangalore in supporting client requirements.
US Staffing:
I was initially handed the role on a trial basis in July 2009. After tasting success in the first couple of months, I was flown to the US and worked from the regional office in Bellevue, WA.
Met with the client on a day-to-day basis and assessed the requirements and delegated it to the recruiting team in NJ, CA and India.
Walked in candidates for their interviews and joining formalities.
Exceeded expectations and performed consistently during my tenure.
Team Lead Role:
Was handed a team of 6 recruiters for the Accenture account during the latter half of my stay at Artech.
Quadrupled the number of interviews in the team from 6 to 24.
Helped define and streamline the recruiting process for the client.

Working on client's IT staffing requirement; complete resourcing life-cycle. Identifying the right candidate for the opening, negotiate bill rate and gather the required info (such as Visa status, availability, education and tech check the candidate for the skill set) for submission of a consultant's candidature to client for their job openings.
Using Dice and Monster for head-hunting of resources for various technologies and skill-sets that includes but not limited to Microsoft Technologies, Java/J2EE (Mostly front-end development technologies Java-Swing), and Telecom consultants.
Preparing the candidates for their interviews with client and specific hiring managers by providing detailed information on the client and business description, if we have past history with them to increase the chances of a closure.
Interacting with junior recruiters/trainee and mentoring them to be able to work independently on client's staffing requirements.
Working with multiple account managers to maintain the existing relationships and building new relationships and accounts.
Creating various metrics and reports that enable better accountability of the recruiters.

Deriving trends from report-based analytics, and providing inputs to the onsite recruitment team to improve on the existing process.
Preparing a short, medium and long term skill requirement analysis based on the unit's business plan.
Synchronizing the various parts of the recruitment cycle to ensure a smooth transition between various stake holders.
Devising new strategies to hire niche, super-niche skills from the market
Designing and customizing programs based on the unit strategy in order to drive a noise free hiring process for the unit and ensuring fairness in the execution on the process covering all Geos (NAM, APAC & EMEA) of the unit within the resources provided and abiding by all the policies of the organization.
Assessing the effectiveness of the assimilation process and incorporating revisions to the process as required in order to ensure that the assimilation process in the unit is strengthened.
